Utility of gambling II: risk,paradoxes, and data

We specialize our results on entropy-modified representations of event-based gambles to representations of probability-based gambles by assuming an implicit event structure underlying the probabilities, and adding assumptions linking the qualitative properties of the former and the latter. Under segregation and under duplex decomposition, we obtain numerical representations consisting of a linear weighted utility term plus a term corresponding to information-theoretical entropies. These representations accommodate the Allais paradox and most of the data due to Birnbaum and associates. A representation of mixed event-and probability-based gambles accommodates the Ellsberg paradox. We suggest possible extensions to handle the data not accommodated.

合金元素对Al-Li合金组织结构和性能的影响

采用快速冷凝技术制备了四种不同合金系的AL—Li合金粉末，粉体经处理成形制成样品。研究了合金元素Cu、Mg、Zr，对合金组织结构和力学性能的影响。讨论了合金元素的作用以及改善合金塑韧性的可能途径。

建立在公有制基础上的社会主义市场经济的核心是在推进市场运行机制的同时,完成经济运行载体的制度性构造。因与私人产权的运行逻辑不同,国有产权的实现需在宪政层面上展开。国有资本营运机构处于“政”、“企”的接口环节,完善国有资本营运机构的制度设计及规范其在现实生活中的重组,对于落实地方国有资产管理体制,实现政资分离、政企分开具有关键意义。     

碳纳米管含量对Ti(C,N)基金属陶瓷组织性能的影响

研究了不同含量的碳纳米管对含适量稀土元素的Ti(C,N)基金属陶瓷组织性能的影响.对不同含量碳纳米管的试样分别于1400℃、1410℃、1420℃真空烧结,通过观察材料的显微组织及断口形貌,测试其抗弯强度及洛氏硬度,结果表明:加入质量分数w=0.3%～1%的碳纳米管时,碳纳米管w=0.5%时其组织较均匀,芯壳结构明显,抗弯强度及硬度均较高.     

Two-stage stochastic integer programming: a survey

Stochastic integer programming is more complicated than stochastic linear programming, as will be explained for the case of the two-stage stochastic programming model. A survey of the results accomplished in this recent field of research is given.

Relationship Between Analyst Forecast Properties and Equity Bid‐Ask Spreads and Depths Around Quarterly Earnings Announcements

Abstract:   We study the relationships between three variables which proxy for the ex‐ante level of information asymmetry – forecast dispersion, forecast revision volatility, and the level of analyst coverage, and equity bid‐ask spread and depth changes around quarterly earnings releases. Kim and Verrecchia (1994) suggest that earnings releases increase the level of information asymmetry and lower the level of liquidity in the security market. Using both an OLS regression framework and a simultaneous equations model, we examine whether equity bid‐ask spreads increase and depths decrease as the level of information asymmetry increases. Our results indicate that spreads are higher (relative to a non‐event period) around earnings announcements when information asymmetry is more pronounced; however, depths are lower only on the day following the announcement when there is greater information asymmetry. Relative spreads have a significant positive relation with both forecast dispersion and revision volatility and a significant negative relation with analyst coverage. Relative depths have a significant negative relation with forecast dispersion and a significant positive relation with analyst coverage. Our findings indicate that the equity specialist adjusts both spreads and depths when confronting informed traders around earnings releases and that these adjustments are more pronounced when the level of information asymmetry is greater.
